Monotype peint pour l'éditrice du Baron Perché (qui vient de publier Alexandre et Darius). Des ornières avaient été dessinées dans le sable de la plage de Deauville et un homme promenait son chien juste à l'endroit où la mer s'étalait sur la plage, faisant briller le sable humide.

I painted this monotype for the publisher of Baron Perché, a children book company. There were ruts in the sand of the Deauville beach, and a man was walking his dog, just where the sea met the beach, so that the sun was shining on the wet sand.

je me souviens très bien de ce jour... et avec ces quelques coups de pinceau noirs, tu as réussi à m'y ramener comme si le temps n'avait pas passé!
